For us, New York Fashion Week isn’t all about the designer clothes. It’s about the accessories. Now that New York Fashion Week has come to a close, we’re sharing our take on Spring 2014’s jewelry trends.
Though the jewelry designs were just as varied as the designers themselves, there were some common trends threaded throughout the week. Black pieces, pearls, and statement collar necklaces were present throughout the week.
Oscar De La Renta uses long strings of pearls to enhance this stunning pale blue gown.
Josie Natori used this statement collar necklace to offset the simplicity of the black and white design.
Marissa Webb rocks the black trend with layered three-dimensional rock shape pendant necklaces by Yael Sonia.
This year, our own Cheryl Press had the opportunity to attend the Marissa Webb runway show, which received rave reviews opening day of NYFW. She was also able to visit her daughter, Jill Press, who was the host of Next Beauty’s backstage action during Fashion Week. On September 4th the industry’s top editors, bloggers, and designers were pampered with makeup and hair treatments by Next Beauty Lounge’s makeup and hairstylists at Dune Studio. Each guests’ experience was topped off by a bubbly glass of champagne! Visit the Next Beauty Lounge website to view their favorite images from the event.
